چکیده

This research aims is the agroindustrial wastewater treatment by an electrochemical device called Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC), which produces electricity while to metabolize the wastewater. The behavior of biofilme formed at reticulated carbon vitreous/Shewanella putrefaciens/vinasse solution interface as anode, was studied by electrochemical measurements. The polarization curves against the carbon cloth cathode air electrode were carried out with electronic load. Moreover the environmental parameter Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) were checked after and before the electrochemical performance. The results show that the bacteria Shewanella putrefaciens is active in the vinasse substrate with a maximum power density about 45 mW m, after 48 hours. Its was observed that and BOD diminishes 36% while the decolourization was 76%.
